MOVING GIF FILES

ANNIMATED GIF FILES OF SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES
Copyright © 2001 Sam Allred

I recently learned a new computer skill…the making of annimated “gif” files. With this, I can scan books which I wrote many years ago that contain sequence photographs, and put them into motion.

Negatives: The original still photos, when shown in motion, do not properly illustrate the forward bodily momentum. This is because each movement of the sequence had to be stopped, body erect for balance, for the taking of each picture. And, the “attacker” in the white T-shirt was actually a photographer’s assistant, because the kajukenboist who was supposed to help didn’t show up the day the photos were taken.

Here are five techniques: a takedown while downed; front snap kick; a throw; defense against a choke; defense against a two-hand arm grab. Later more gif files and written explanations will be added.
